WBOC16 Delmarva’s News Leader 11/12/2007 8:39 AM ET
DEWEY BEACH, Del. A developing firm is heading back to the drawing board after the Dewey Beach Town Council on Saturday voted unanimously not to change the town’s current zoning ordinance. The council’s decision means the developer, Dewey Beach Enterprises, is not allowed to move forward with its plans for a 68-foot-tall luxury hotel and condominium complex in Ruddertowne. The current zoning ordinance does not allow buildings to be taller than 35 feet. Dewey Beach Mayor Dell Tush said the development corporation has already submitted a new site plan.
